3 Perfect Days in Vojvodina Vineyards
Perfectly suited for a weekend or short holiday, on this tour you will benefit from Vojvodina (north Serbia) most famous wineries. We will travel through the Pannonian plants, visit famous traditional and luxury modern wineries, and taste some of the finest Serbian wines . 9 wineries more than 50 wines and spirits, delicious local food, fantastic landscapes and Serbian traditional hospitality.
When : March to November / / What’s Included: Transportation to and from Belgrade, English speaking tour/driver for all day, Wine tastings at 9 wineries, accommodation, mils and appetizers. Price on reques ( The tour price depends on number of tour participants )
First day - Tour start in Belgrade at 09.00 am. We pick up at local Belgrade hotels or tourist apartment. First we will visit Erdevik, village on the western slopes of Fruska Gora mountain. Second vinery is "Mackov podrum" in Irig, small town located on the sout-west slopes of Fruska Gora mountain. Third winery is "Brindza" in Backa Topola.
Second day - All wineries we will visit on second day are close to Palic lake, near to the Hungarian border. First we will visit DiBonis and then Zvonko Bogdan and Vinski Dvor winery.
Third day - After breakfast in Vinski Dvor we continue our journey to Tonkovic Winery located between Subotica and Horgos. Second winery in our route is Benisek-Veselinovic winery in Sremski Karlovci. Third winery is Acumincum winery on the banks of the Danube river, in Stari Slankamen village 50 kilometers away from Belgrade. Late aftenon we wiill be back in Belgrade.

Erdevik winery
To begin our journey we have chosen a new winery located about 120 km from Belgrade, in western Srem area, on the border with the Republic of Croatian The village Erdevik with its three lakes is one of the most beautiful villages on the western slopes of Fruska Gora mountain. The winery was founded in 1826 by Count Livius Odeskalki. Since then it many times destroyed and rebuilt but wine production never ceased. It was last renovated 2013. and today Erdevik winery is a mix of modern and traditional where premium wines products of exclusively with grapes from its own vineyards, on the right bank of the Danube. At 40 hectares grow Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.We will enjoy in the wines in a new luxury winery building with a rich buffet of local specialties.

Mackov podrum winery
Returns to the east and climbs along the slopes of Fruska Gora and go to Irig, place known for its vineyards from the time of the Roman Empire. We're going to visit the uncrowned king of Serbian Gewurztraminer At the beginning of this century Mr. Sava Jojic (nickname Macak = Tomcat ) decided to that family tradition of grapes and wine production held up to the professional level and Mackov podrum winery works since 2004. The capacity of the winery is 200,000 liters a year, and approximate annual production is 120,000 bottles of wine. Tomcat cellar has got 32 hectares of vineyards, and all the grapes used for the wine like as Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Pinot noir, Cabernet franc, Sauvignon blanc, Portugieser comes only and exclusively from these vineyards. We'll try most of that with a lunch of local specialties.
Brindza winery
After lunch continue the journey and go to Backa Topola., the Brindza winery, where will be the place of our vacation and the first nights on our wine route. It is the new modern winery opened few years ago. The winery is situated on the family estate with restaurant, rooms and other facilities. Vineyards are located about 15 km away from the cellar and at around 12 hectares of vineyards grow mostly white grape varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Traminer, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, and wine production is 40,000 liters per year. As part of the winery is a nice restaurant offering local and international dishes in which we will enjoy to dinner local specialties paired with wines from this winery.
DiBonis winery
After breakfast we continue our journey to the north, to the Palic lake, near to the Hungarian border . Mr. Laslo Boni, the founder of DiBonis winery is the 4 th generation of winemakers in his family. The Winery is famous in Serbia for being the first Winery planting Shiraz Grape in Serbia and the first Winery making a wine out of it. The DiBonis Dishiraz won many awards and recognitions, the latest was the Comedned title from the 2013 Decanter Awards in London, the UK. Ecept Shiraz, on about 20 hectares of vineyards grow and Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Mucat Ottonel.The DiBonis Winery is also very well known for its excellent fruit brandies called rakija in serbian language and palinka in Hungarian language. All the prestigious international and local awards received, made the DiBonis one of the most awarded fruit brandy maker of the region. We'll try a part of all that with gastronomical specialties typical for this area.
Zvonko Bogdan winery
The second winery in our route is "Zvonko Bogdan"in Palic (Subotica) one of the Top 5 Serbian winery. It is the new modern winery, started in 2008 . From the beginning, their aim is to produce top-quality wines that bear the stamp of the region from which they come, by combining the specificity and tradition of Palic vineyards with the latest French technology. Wines of Zvonko Bogdan Winery are produced exclusively from grapes-cultivated and matured in its vineyards. They own 56 hectares of vineyards on three different plots and on it grow Sauvignon blanc, Pinot blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Muscat yellow , Merlot, Frankish, Cabernet franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Such an attitude about the quality production is the reason why the wines of this winery has won numerous awards at Decanter, San Francisco IWC, Concours Mondia, Japan Wine Challenge, AWC Wiena ... Last year, the winery was awarded the regional award "White Cluster" as the most successful Serbian wineries in wine tourism for the year 2016. During the visit you will see why..
Vinski dvor winery
Finaly, third winary in our daily route and the place of our vacation and the second nights on our wine route is Vinski dvor winery. This is a family company which dates back to 1856. Today the winery owns about 7 hectares of grapes where grows up Chardonnay, Italian Riesling, Souvignon Blanc, Gray Burgundac, Cersegi fuszeres, Irsai Oliver, Black Burgundac, Merlot, Cabernet Souvignon and Portogiezer. During all these years, grape and wines were made on a traditional way. In 2002 it was the first winery in Serbia which start a wine tourism concept, which has been improved year by year . As part of the winery is a nice restaurant where we will enjoy local food and wine testing.
Tonkovic Winery
After breakfast we continue our journey and return to the south. First we will go to the small charming Tonkovic Heritage Winery, specific because they make wine from only one grape variety Kadarka. Continuing the vision of Mr Ignacije Tonkovic, a former diplomat and a legend of the Vojvodina public scene, in a closely collaborates with a series of experts from a viticulture professor from Hungary to the top winemakers from Rioja, they produce a different Kadarka wines (two red and one rose) and all are excellent. We will try them all in a short visit to the winery.
Benesik-Veselinovic winery
Second winery in our route is Benisek-Veselinovic winery. It is cooperative of two families which together produce wine and excellent fruit brandy. On four hectares grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Probus, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, that produce 30,000 liters of wine , 3000 bottles of sweet Bermet. and a certain amount of special grape brandy. We'll try it all with lunch with Srem delicacies (goulash, cheese, homemade bread.) in the garden of their taste object in one of the oldest houses in the Sremski Karlovci.
Acumincum winery
Third winery is Acumincum winery on the banks of the Danube river, in Stari Slankamen village. It is new (2011) modern family winery but very charming because the building in which the winery is located has an interesting history. in the 16th century was a Turkish bath (hamam), in the 18th century Rectory, and later palaces of local landowner. The remains of a Turkish bath can be seen in addition to the wine tasting rooms. At about three hectares of vineyards were planted Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Viogner and Lemberger, of which is produced 20,000 liters of very quality wine every year.
